Two years ago, the first two permanent deacons were ordained by Cardinal Ivan Dias. In April 2009, the second bath of eight will be ordained permanent deacons. I am now inviting applications for the third batch. The course will begin in January 2009 and will last for three and a half years. Candidates of the new batch will have to join for three years, the regular seminary theology course. Those who wish to apply should send in their applications by the October 30, to my office at Salvation Seva Kendra (3^rd floor), S.K. Bole Road, Dadar, Mumbai 400 028 together with a letter of recommendation from their parish priests. Even those who have applied earlier should now apply once again. Interviews will be conducted in the month of November and the admissions finalised by the end of December.
